It is the smallest region in Brazil, but it is a major tourist poles, economic and cultural of the country. It is the second richest region of Brazil, with high social indices – has the highest HDI (Human Development Index) and the second largest GDP (Gross Domestic Product) per capita in the country. It offers a bit of everything from beautiful scenery of mountains, where you can find some snow in winter (June or July) to beautiful beaches and heat during the summer (December and January). The Rio Grande do Sul is home to one of the country’s main film events, the Gramado Festival, and the best Brazilian wineries.
